Susan M. Miller

Susan has enjoyed being a successful dog trainer in Western Massachusetts for over fifteen years. With the philosophy of animal training through positive reinforcement, she has helped thousands of pets and their human companions throughout New England. Through her years of cumulative experience as well as continuing education she continues to learn and further develop her reputation as a highly regarded, versatile and well rounded dog trainers. By providing humane education talks and presentations to schools, community groups and service organizations, she continuously shares her extensive experience with large groups.

Susan specializes in offering individual and family consultations for problematic behaviors such as canine aggression, house training, noise phobias, separation anxiety or for basic dog obedience training and household manners.

Susan holds a bachelor’s degree in Education from Westfield State College and an associate’s degree in Animal Science from Holyoke Community College. She is a Certified Veterinary Technician, a Certified Professional Dog Trainer through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers and a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. She is a member of the Massachusetts Veterinary Technicians Association and the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America. She is also a AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.

When not helping clients to enjoy easier lives with their canine companions, Susan enjoys freelance writing, hiking and therapy work with her dogs, Zack and Sallie.
